  • On Sundays (many restaurants are closed): Bonsoir Clara located on rue Antoine Dansaert; Aux Armes du Bruxelles; Ogenblick; and Piccolo Mondo (uptown) are my favorites.
  • Manneken Pis Café: For beer and is located across from the famous statue on rue du Chene.

Shopping:

  • Le Ket de Bruxelles: A store with original sign. Great for presents to bring back home. 28 rue des Grands Carmes (Next to Manneken Pis). Tel 02512 3297.
  • Plaizier: Interesting postcard store, great posters too. Located downtown on the street behind the Royal Windsor Hotel.
  • Flamand: A beautiful decoration store on the Sablon square.
  • Marcolini: An exclusive chocolatier on the Sablon square.
  • L’Atelier en Herbe: A flower shop located at the entrance of the store Flamand.
  • Shopping Area: My new favorite area to walk around is rue du Bailli and place du Chatelain (take a taxi from downtown, or walk from uptown). This is where the locals shop in outlets, cute stores, charming restaurants and walk around. This area is for those who have already done shopping downtown, the Avenue Louise area, and rue Antoine Dansaert.
  • Louise Fifty Four: For serious shopping. Beautiful clothes, trendy & super deluxe. Ask for Alain or Suzy and mention my name. 54 avenue Louise (across from Conrad). www.louise54.com.
  • Souvenirs: The brussels corner 54 Rue Marche aux Herbes located next to the main square.
New Belgian fashion small boutique good prices: 127 rue de livourne: Sonya Fiaga ( uptown)
Hotels & Spa:

  • Aspria Spa/Conrad Hotel: Very nice. I had a very relaxing massage with Tom. www.aspria.com.
